How much does
your household waste?

Answer five questions: we'll tell you how much food probably ends up in the bin, what it's worth, and where to start.

1. How many people live in your home?
2. How often do you shop for food?
3. Do you check the fridge and cupboards before shopping?
4. How often do you find food that has expired or gone off?
5. What do you do with leftovers?

This is an estimate, not a measurement: it starts from the Italian average of 554 grams of food wasted per person each week (Waste Watcher, 2026) and adjusts it based on your answers. The euro value uses an average price of €4.34 per kilo. We only count answers anonymously and in aggregate, for community statistics: no names, no cookies, nothing that identifies you.
